Introduction

WHAT IS ROUND 1?

Your First Step into the World of AI

Round 1 is a 60-minute online AI Literacy & Computational Thinking Assessment created according to the student's grade level.

It goes beyond traditional Olympiad questions. It does not simply ask: β€œWhat do you know about AI?” It asks: β€œHow well can you think, reason and apply what you know?”

The assessment brings together four important dimensions of AI learning:

Computational Thinking
AI & Tech Concepts
Everyday AI & Digital World
Elite Problem Solving
No prior coding experience required. BAIO is designed to assess AI thinking, computational reasoning, conceptual understanding and responsible application of technology β€” not programming ability.

Core Vision

WHY ROUND 1 MATTERS

AI Readiness Is More Than Knowing AI Terminology

A student may know what AI stands for. But can they break a complex problem into smaller parts? Identify underlying patterns? Think step-by-step logically?

Can they understand how AI systems function, recognize AI in everyday life, identify ethical tech uses, apply concepts to new challenges, and make reasoned decisions?

That is the exact mindset BAIO Round 1 is designed to evaluate, nurture, and recognize.

No Coding Required

Measures AI literacy, logic, and computational reasoning without needing syntax or programming code.

NEP 2020 & CBSE CTAI

Directly aligned with national guidelines for computational thinking and modern tech literacy.

Everyday AI Awareness

Teaches students to evaluate digital privacy, AI ethics, and daily AI tools responsibly.

Diagnostic Mindset

Transforms traditional test pressure into clear, actionable growth insights for every learner.
